RULES
FOR MUSIC/SKATER CHECK-IN
1. The first CD in line will start
approximately 5 minutes after the session begins.
2. If anyone chooses to delay the
playing of their CD, they will be bumped to the end of the playing order.
3. There are no re-starts, except for
a CD malfunction.
4. The skate order is the order is in
which skaters arrive out on the ice and put their CD in line.
5. Pro-Call Policy: One pro-call per coach per session for either dance or freestyle music, not both, until all CDs have been played once. Only one pro-call can bump any CD in line. A pro-call cannot bump a skater in a lesson. The skater’s CD(s) from the pro-call go to the end of the line. Dance Partner for test session practices may have up to 2 pro calls for each student but will forfeit their freestyle music turn for that session.
6. The club will try to have a
volunteer music monitor at the start of each session where music is
played. Music Monitors will be assigned,
see information in Membership Packet. Signature
required.
7. Skaters will be allowed one CD in their selected position. If
a skater would like additional CDs played, those CDs will be placed in their
respective numerical position, one per round.
8. If a skater comes onto the ice
after the session begins and the order has been determined, that skater’s
position will be at the end of the order.
If the music order gone through beyond the first round, the new skater’s
tape still goes at the end of the physical order of the CDs lined up.
9.
A
skater must wear the blaze orange vest when
their CD is being played. The skater
whose music is being played has the right-of-way, although safety is the first
priority. The skater on deck may warm-up
with the blaze orange vest on. We have
a NO VEST…NO MUSIC policy, so if do not have the blaze orange vest on and your
music is playing, your music may be stopped and you will forfeit your turn in
line for music being played. NO
EXCEPTIONS!!!
10.
All
other skaters who are on the ice while there is a skater with the blaze orange
vest on must pay attention and give the right-of-way to the skater with the
blaze orange vest on.
11.
If
a skater is not signed in within 10 minutes after the start of a session, they
may be bumped off of the ice. Priority is 1) contracted skaters who have signed
in, 2) club members on a first come first served basis, 3) all other skaters on
a first come-first served basis.
Note: For example, if skater forgets to sign into the book and there are more than 22 skaters on the ice. The skater that didn’t sign into the book will be asked to get off the ice, regardless of whether or not they are contracted – SKATERS MUST REMEMBER TO SIGN IN. If not contracted, they must record the time that they arrive at the rink.
Please read and go over these rules and reminders
with the skater. The skater and
parent/guardian sign this form and keep a copy for yourself.
