                              Annual Ice Show May 7 & 8, 2010

                          “Legends and Idols on Ice”

  You have just watched, supported and celebrated the world’s best figure skaters at the Olympics. Now we would like you to watch, support, and celebrate the Valley’s best figure skaters. The Valley Figure Skating Club (VFSC) is a non-profit organization that supports the sport of figure skating for young people in the Fox Valley area.  We have members from all cities and villages in the Fox Valley that skate year-round at either of our two local ice rinks, Appleton Family Ice Center and the Tri-County Ice Arena.

 

Each year in the spring, we host the VFSC Ice Show at Appleton Family Ice Center.  We have skaters at all levels participating in our show, from 3 year olds who are just beginning the sport, to young women that can execute double-double jump combinations and even the single and double axels you love to watch.  Our beauty and grace on the ice has made us a Valley tradition on Mother’s day weekend.  Through reputation, word-of-mouth and advertising, we have drawn crowds of over 1000 people in total attendance.  We would like to feature you as an Idol of our club.

 

Not only is this an enjoyable event for the skaters and audience, but it is also a major fund raiser for the club.  All proceeds are returned to the club to help with ever-rising ice costs and equipment needed.  Our theme this year is “Legends and Idols on Ice”. You can become a Legend and an Idol. We will treat you like one as we put your name in lights at our show. To help us with our fundraising goal, we are collecting donations for two Basket Raffles and Silent Auction. We will have our first Raffle during the Tri-County Ice Arena’s Annual Home and Garden show March 26th – 28th. We will be showing previous year’s shows and pre selling tickets to this year’s ice show extravaganza. Attached you will also find information about our show sponsorship opportunity for you.

We appreciate you considering our request, especially during this tough economic environment.   As you may have heard before, “Kids on ice are not in hot water”!
